EDITORIAL: GENDER AND SEXUALITY
This edition has taken the risk of diving into the heated debate about gender and sexuality. It includes terms like Feminism which might put some off straight away. But please give our authors a chance. We’ve headed our edition with a figure of Jesus as a woman, which might be utterly distasteful to some. Nevertheless, Jesus has always come to his faithful in a way that is appropriate to them. Jesus was not a woman; nor was he white and blond haired, as he is depicted in most Churches. After so many centuries, where women have been downgraded as second class citizens, is it not time to appreciate that God transcends all our divisions?
