CSF CENTENARY The Community of St. Francis is celebrating it's centenary in 2005. There will be several events to mark the occasion. Further information will be found on this page, as and when it is available. Reunion of Former Sisters
Centenary Open Day Compton Durville 28th May 2005 The Sisters at Compton Durville held their Centenary Open Day in May which was well attended. The Right Rev'd. Peter Price, Bishop of Bath and Wells, presided and preached at the Eucharist. The Centenary Weekend, February 2005 Sisters from the European Province, the Province of the Americas and Frances and Jemma, of the Korean Franciscan Sisterhood, gathered for 4 days at the Royal Foundation of St Katherine, London. A Celebratory Eucharist was held at Southwark Cathedral on Saturday 26th February 2005, at which Catherine Joy CSF presided, the Very Reverend Colin Slee, Dean of Southwark Cathedral preached and the Bishop Protector, Michael Scott-Joynt received the Renewal of the Sisters' Vows. It was a great delight to see a full Cathedral of Sisters, Brothers, Religious of other communities, both Anglican and Roman Catholic, former CSF Sisters and SSF Brothers, Tertiaries, Companions and families and friends of CSF.
Eternal God, Source of all mercies and consolation, may we live to praise you. Make the homage we pay you reasonable; season our sacrifices with the salt of wisdom. As we continue to walk in the footsteps of Christ in the way of Francis and Clare, may our entire being be transformed into your image, through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen
