This book is both challenging and comforting. There is much here for blind, visually impaired and sighted people. We are told by the author that God - and the experience of God - lies beyond blindness and sight.
We are led to look again at familiar stories - those who began life totally blind or who became blind in later life.
All is told from the experience of a man who became totally blind in early-middle age and who, with courage and acceptance, adjusted to this to become confident and creative as a blind person.
Throughout, there is much insight and understanding of the biblical characters and how they found God in their lives. Readers of this book will be richly rewarded.
