franciscan - January 2006© The Society of Saint Francis, 2005 ContentsFranciscan Seeing How does the world look through the eyes of Franciscan thinkers? We begin this edition in the recent past, with an appreciation of the great Anglican enthusiast and scholar of St Francis, John Moorman. We are then introduced to the thinking of three scholars who themselves wore the Franciscan habit: Bonaventure and Duns Scotus, under-appreciated giants of mediaeval theology and philosophy, and Leonardo Boff, with his 20th century message of liberation for the poor. All four are seen to offer insights of relevance to the issues of today.
