Theme Prayer
Gracious God,
your Son was forced to leave his home
and to seek refuge in another land;
have mercy on those who now are uprooted
from their home land
by famine, war or persecution.
Bless those who provide them
with food, shelter and medicines;
enlarge our hearts to welcome the stranger among us,
and help us to work for that day
when your kingdom will come on earth;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
